This is an extremely unique role if you are a leader in fire engineering, both commercial and technical and have experience of structural steel.
You won’t be designing fire strategies here, instead the role will involve collaborative working with structural engineers and steel fabricators to understand how their products are used in fire engineering, using fire safety codes and standards. You will eventually be leading a team of structural and mechanical engineers and will have aspirational ideas of becoming the Global Fire Leader.
This is a global role with a lot of scope, so you can be based anywhere, although there will be expectation to visit the offices in Bolton, UK from time to time and some international travel including India. There will be many opportunities to advance your career and if you wanted to move to USA your very best opportunities may be achieved here at their Head Office.
You will have the security of working for a 150 year old business and despite its size of over 60000 employees, it has a supportive, family culture. You will experience a softer and a pastoral approach, perhaps different to what you may have experienced in your years in the consultancy world.
