Senior Structural Fire Engineer - £Neg DOE

Location – to be determined by the successful candidate  (UK/Europe)

Much more than code bashing.

Research, design, testing, developing products, collaborating…. already got your interest?

A unique opportunity for an experienced structural engineer or structural fire engineer wanting to work in a more varied role for a leading global protective coatings company. You will be joining a nurturing organisation and there is genuine opportunity to make this role your own.

Reporting to the Global Head of Passive Fire Protection, a very supportive and flexible leader, you won’t be designing fire strategies here. Instead, you will be working closely with structural engineers and steel fabricators striving to optimize product performance. You will be developing and testing new and existing products and use TELKA software for modelling. You will be working on cellulosic and hydrocarbon projects and initiatives, predominantly in infrastructure and oil and gas buildings.

There is no specific office location for this role so you could be based anywhere in Europe. The main research and development facility (a Centre of Excellence) is near Barcelona, Spain, so this may interest you and occasional travel will be required.

Despite its size of over 6000 employees over many different countries, it has a supportive, family culture with a deep belief they can make lasting change, with sustainability and responsibility at its core. You will have the security of working for a Foundation which strives to help its staff be the very best they can be. With commitment to its People Promise, you will experience a friendly and pastoral approach, perhaps different to what you may have experienced in the consultancy world.

If you are a Chartered engineer or working towards, with a structural engineering degree and fire knowledge or a structural & fire engineering degree and this unique role sounds interesting, get in touch with Will Pearce to discuss in more detail.
